We live in uncertain times concerning our nation's economy. It seems like every time we turn our television on or read the newspaper, there is yet another crisis. As an American, one cannot help but worry and fear the unknown.
We, here at First Federal in Valdosta, want you to know and realize that we are right on top of what is going on and First Federal continues to prosper even through uncertain times. In so far as sub-prime lending is concerned, we never took part in that market. As a matter of fact, it has been years since we have had to foreclose on any home. Although the housing market has been slow, we continue to underwrite very secure home loans to existing and new customers. Let's talk savings. We offer a wide array of products that will meet your needs. Statement savings, Passbook savings, IRA's, CD's, Youth Certificates, and Health Savings Accounts- just to name a few. On top of that, your deposits are insured by the F.D.I.C.
In closing, we are fortunate to live in Valdosta, Georgia; now "Titletown USA"! Our overall market has not experienced the huge ups and downs as other markets have seen. First Federal remains committed to the local market as it has for the last 75 years. By year end, our net worth/capital will be pushing the $28,000,000.00 mark! Not bad for a local savings and loan started by local folks for the purpose of serving local needs. One thing is for sure, with our success in the past and continued success, we remain committed to our customers and community for the long haul.
